World Music Denmark is a non-profit organisation founded in 1992 by a group of musicians, dancers, journalists and concert organisers.

The organisation is dedicated to the development and promotion of Danish world music and to improve the conditions for world music and the related dance forms.

World Music Denmark is recognised as the official interest organisation for world music and receives a yearly subsidy from the Danish Arts Agency.

The organisation's activities focus on transportation support, workshops, festivals, information services and international promotion of Danish world music artists.
