The Album is an eclectic collection of the timeless traditional raw music of Rajasthan dating back 300 yrs to 700 yrs kept alive till date by the surviving ethnic tribes. The performers range from 7 years old children to 75 year old elders. Apart from the unique sounds of the unusual strings & wind instruments and percussions made up of animal hide,clay pots,brass discs, wood etc. the recordings include 25 instruments which are made and played only in Rajasthan. The renditions are devotional songs,armorous songs,festive songs, pastoral and nuptial songs and more. The set of 2 C.D.s is uniquely packaged in embossed leather and traditional Rajasthani handicraft materials reminiscent of its origin.
