The Festival of the Dhow Countries is a largest cultural event in East Africa. Centred on film, the festival also comprises international music and performing arts programme. Artists and performers from the Dhow region and Africa continent i.e. Indian Ocean and India Sub-Continent, Middle East, Asia and their Diasporas are particularly welcomed. The Festival programme also includes special women and children events, workshop/seminars/conferences concerning arts and cultural aspects and village festivities.
