Singer, bass player (Zap Mama), percussion player and dancer, Manou is now leader of her own band "The Djiboi".
Inspired by the rhythms and songs of the Djiboi (people of central-west Ivory Coast) from where she originates, Manou Gallo's music is crafted as a kind of musical puzzle made up of pieces of funk, soul and blues. She gives a new but respectful look to her musical traditions, with the "groove" as the common denominator. World music that is funky and dancing but also full of emotion and sensitivity!
