Majorstuen is a young refreshing group from the folk music milieu at the Norwegian Music Academy. With its colourful musical interpretation, varied repertoire and own arrangements, the group presents a form of playing the likes of which you’ve probably never heard before! With fiddles, viola and cello, this gang interpret melodies in such a refreshing way that they won the national folk group championships in 2001 and open class in 2002. Majorstuen release their debut album on 2L November 2002.
