‘300 Unplugged

'300 Unplugged is a medieval music project led by mezzosoprano Federica Bocchini alongside musicians Danilo Tamburo and Matteo Nardella. The trio explores the 14th-century Italian repertoire through an intimate and contemporary narrative, combining historical research with modern storytelling to present medieval music as a living, relatable human experience rather than a distant artifact.

The project unfolds a timeless love story in five acts: encounter, desire, eros, separation, and transformation. Drawn from major 14th-century Italian manuscripts (ballate, madrigals, cacce), the repertoire is performed on faithful reconstructions of period instruments, including medieval lutes, chitarrino, double flute, and the rare pifar sordo.
