The translation of "Bracana" can be "many-coloured" or "changing colour at the onset of maturity"; whatever the translation, it is the title of the new album which has 14 songs, a cappella as always and superbly arranged. The voices seize, amplify and clarify the emotion. There are new A Filetta creations such as the songs of a "Way of the Cross" performed at Calvi under the direction of the Neapolitan Orlando Forioso. The texts (except those of the liturgy) were written by Jean-Claude and Jean-Yves Acquaviva, Primo Levi, Pampasgiolu and Petru Santucci.This new collection reflects the ground covered over the past few years by this group which tries to be what it defends rather than to defend what it is "Bracana" is made up of snatches of life that the voices have crystallised over the years.
