On the one hand the captivating and velvet tones of Fadia Tomb El-Hage, on the other the voices of the A Filetta choir. United for the first time by the choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui for his production entitled Puz/zle, presented at the "In" festival of Avignon in 2012, it was at the request of another festival, the Ile-de-France festival, that the artists created this concert version. In this show, a cappella appears in all its purity. Sacred and profane songs, sung in Corsican, Arabic or Syriac, they bring together two universes and musical traditions of which the osmosis is a result of a great ability to listen and a perfect complementarity between the artists.
If each of them keeps their specificity, these conversations open imaginary spaces which are gently traced through the voices' melismas and the fusion of timbres. From this encounter was born a unique symbiosis, a limpid polyphony, a poetic and timeless harmony which fuses Corsican and middle-eastern repertories.

LE MONDE
A show for eleven dancers, seven singers and a musician in which Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui returns to a visual sobriety centred on the dancing body, with a great deal of work on movement and rhythm. The work is also sublimated by the breathtaking majesty of the songs of Corsican vocal ensemble A Filetta and Libanese singer Fadia Tomb El-Hage. (...) The seven voices fill the space like gently blowing up a balloon. A penetration, full of finesse, with a limpid polyphonic texture and an elastic magnitude which takes in both the traditional Corsican and the oriental repertoires of the artists..

LIBERATION
It is a musical success. By reuniting the Corsican polyphonic ensemble A Filetta, the Lebanese singer Fadia Tomb El-Hage and the Jaoanese flutist, singer and percussionist Kazunari Abe, the Eastman company team, that Sidi Larbi Created in 2010, scored a hit. Fadia Tomb El-Hage’s deep and feminine voice intensifies and echoes A Filetta’s masculine voices, whereas, the Japanese, more percussive, keeps a certain lyricism at a distance.

*****************************************************************
