Born and raised in the southern Spanish guitar city, Morón de la Frontera, a town with a solid tradition of guitar players and flamencos this exceptional guitarist is a natural at the traditional “alzapúa” style of playing, where the thumb is used to make the lower strings swing. At the same time he manages to draw the most wonderful new moods and harmonies from his strings. His third album, 21, where he has surrounded himself with all the great singers of this century, establishes Dani de Morón as the leader of a new Spanish guitar generation, making the flamenco tradition flourish in the 21st century.

He was recruited by maestro Paco de Lucía to accompany him as his second guitarist in the tour "Cositas Buenas", an experience that openned a new dimensión and shot him to the front line of the flamenco guitar. He received two Giraldillos Prizes at the XVII Bienal de Sevilla for Best Concert Guitar and Best Show. He has shared experiences in musically eclectic projects with musicians such as Dave Liebmann, Aaron Diehl, Gerardo Núñez, Diego del Morao, Alfredo Lagos or Concha Buika, with whom he has entered the international circuits of Jazz and World Music.

His music is recorded and edited on the following albums: "Cambio de Sentido" (Universal, 2012) which received the Flamenco Hoy Award of the musical critics to the Best Solo Guitar álbum; "El hijo de mi libertad" (Universal, 2015), a second solo work and “21” (Universal 2018),the first ontology of guitar playing for the singing in the history of flamenco, nominated the the Latin Grammys 2018 for "Best Flamenco Album".

He is currently working on this fourth album, which will be released in March 2020.
