'Mujeres de Luna - Women in Cuban Music'
2007 Tour and CD Presentation

Cuban vocalist Estrella Acosta presents the works of Cuba's top female composers and poets who were pioneers in their time, and opened the way for other women artists to follow. By performing the music of these brilliant Cuban women, we highlight their unique artistry and tell a musical story of Cuba through the voice of these composers.

The songs, ranging from traditional to contemporary, are arranged and performed with the collaboration the following musicians:
Marc Bischoff (piano), Efraim Trujillo (sax/flute), Samuel Ruiz (bass), Enrique Firpi (drums), Estrella Acosta (vocals) + Pavadita String Quartet:Claudia Valenzuela (violin), Sophie de Rijk (violin), Maria Sofia Espiga (viola), Eva van de Poll (cello)

A new CD, 'Mujeres de Luna', with two special guests from Cuba, Orlando 'Maraca' Valle & Horacio 'El Negro' Hernández was released on eStar label in October 2017.

Estrella Acosta performed at the Jazz Plaza Festival in Havana 2015.
