Airfono

Airfono is a label dedicated to original, spectacular and virtuoso projects with the ambition to record a mix of live energy, futuristic grooves and festive spirit. From jazz to techno, Airfono is a home for experimentation and musical freedom.

The Airfono "house", driven by the producer and artistic director, Julien Princiaux, embodies a wild, gregarious and heterodox perception of music. At the crossroads of contemporary practices and popular cultures, this label has built itself as a meeting place for musicians who have organically grown into the constitution of a creative family.

Each of the records produced gives pride of place to a mix of genres nourished by cross-featurings which allow, in a disorderly way, a pianist of classical culture passionate about techno (Fabrizio Rat) to intervene on the hypnotic post jazz album of the Magnetic Ensemble or the drummer-leader of the latter to put his rich groove on an old school hip-hop record (The Wolphonics).

The central place of the acoustic instrument is one of the rare constants of this family which goes without hesitation from hand made techno to raï or from ambient electro to post punk.
