Celebration Concert: “Nasimiento”

After almost 2 years of the release of the Album Nasimiento, Al’Fado is showcasing it in Lisbon, at the espaço BOTA. In an intimate night with a “showcase” type concert and the premiere screening of the short documentary “The making-of” the CD.
The concert will include works from the album’s repertoire and two first time collaborations with the guest musicians Eva Parmenter (Concertina) and Samuel Gapp (Piano).
The Ensemble invites fans, friends and industry pros to join this special night. A night of celebration of the journey of Al’Fado, through the concert stages in Portugal and abroad of the past 4 years, from the musical and artistic journeys and explorations developed in the fertile imagination between the Sephardic songbook and Fado.

About the guest artists:
Eva Parmenter is one of the most prominent concertinists in Portugal. As a performer, and a composer, she proposes new paths in the exploration of an instrument traditionally associated with popular folk music.
Samuel Gapp, German Pianist and composer, mainly active in the fields of contemporary and improvised music. With musical and educational projects and initiatives, collaborating with artists in Portugal, Germany and around the world.
