From an early age Frankie Chavez started playing guitar, the artist's favorite instrument, always trying to do what the reference guitarists (Jimmy Hendrix, Gary Moore, Jimmy Page) did at the time. With guitar in hand, it takes on the “one man band” concept and the result is a Blues / Folk. Only later João Correia join him as a drummer in live performances.
His music falls within the Blues / Folk / Roots categories reflecting musical influences that he found when traveling the world. There are several musical influences, Robert Johnson, Jimi Hendrix, Kelly Joe Phelps and Ry Cooder.
In 2009, he launched the single The Search and his first EP, produced by Optimus Discos, an initiative that supports emerging projects in the Portuguese music scene. In 2011, he finished recording his first album entitled Family Tree, produced, recorded and mixed by Nelson Carvalho at Valentim de Carvalho Studios in Paço d´Arcos). In May 2014, he released Heart and Spine recorded at Valentim de Carvalho by Nélson Carvalho and Pedro Cruz, with a mix by Tommaso Colliva and mastering by Giovanni Versari. In 2018 he released his latest album Miramar.
