He was born in 1980 in Ankara. He started Ege University State Turkish Music Conservatory the Department of Basic Sciences as a "Ney" student in 1998.
He took lessons from Bolkar OZTEKIN and Halil BAZIKI, a Ney performer from the Ministry of Culture İzmir Classical Turkish Music Choir and Kasif DEMİROZ, who is still teaching Ney at Ege University State Turkish Music Conservatory.
After five years of higher education, he graduated from the Department of Basic Sciences of the Conservatory placing second best in his department in 2003.
In 2004, he started to work as an instructor at Diyarbakır Dicle University State Conservatory as a permanent staff member.
In 2012, he graduated from Samsun Ondokuz Mayıs University, Department of Turkish Religious Music and in 2017; he completed his PhD in the same field.
In 2014, he started to work as an instructor at the same conservatory.
