Jorge González was born in Madrid in 1988 into a humble and hard working family. González emerged into the public eye thanks to his involvement with the popular Spanish singing competition television show Operación Triunfo, taking part in the show's fifth season, which aired in 2006. Though not the winner, Jorge left Operación Triunfo with significant exposure and a large enough fan base that he was offered a contract with Universal's Vale Music label. He currently takes part in another television programm "Tu cara me suena" where celebrity contestants have to impersonate singers.
His latest work mixes flamenco and rumba.
