PERIHAN, born in Genova, Italy, has been exploring the Ways of spirituality with her voice for more than thirty years: professionalism as an artist and inner knowledge go hand in hand in her performances illustrating a mystic way which the voice is an integral part of.

She started her experience as a singer at 15 years old with traditional and melodic Italian music, Brazilian music, American folk and pop, rock, rhythm 'n' blues, soul, gospels and spirituals; songs from French and Italian singer songwriters; French and Italian pop songs; classical and overtones, expanding her research on sound.
Lastly jazz, actively taking part in the New York Jazz scene for 4 years: here she recorded JAZZIN' GENOVA, a CD tribute to the "Genoese School".
"It's nice to discover that these pieces have not faded, they are still alive and performed by great artists, such as in this case." Gianfranco Reverberi.

Among others, she sang with Dado Moroni, Paolino Dalla Porta, Enzo Zirilli, (CD EMOTIONALLY and the cd LIVE @ the Teatro Gioventu, Genova); Enrico Pinna (THE SOUL duo and CD ); Tuck & Patti; the jazz trio: Pete Malinverni, Ugonna Okegwo, Billy Drummond (CD JAZZIN' GENOVA); Kirk Nurock (concerts in NY); Giorgio Gaber (director of MARILYN with Ombretta Colli); Sabrina Salerno; Angelo Branduardi.

Perihan, since the age of 17 until nowadays, explored different spiritual ways.
"The journey of her sound emphasizes a rediscovery of the various 'voices of the within' which we sense we possess, but no longer know how to evoke." Guido Festinese "THE FRAGRANCE".

Since 2009 she has been following the Path of Sufism, with the name Perihan, Queen of the Fairies, received by the Mystic Sufi Serif Baba.

From the encounter with this new dimension of the Sacred, Perihan now draws her rediscovery of Christian roots, to which she dedicates her latest work:
O MAGNUM MYSTERIUM (Oh What a Great Mystery) to recount and rediscover her own land's traditions and spirit.
