Southpaw Steel'n'Twang are a power trio consisting of three seasoned musicians. The band concentrates mostly on instrumental music, focus is often on pedal - and lap steel guitars while strato - and telecaster also give their sound to the gumbo...
Ville "Lefty" Leppänen takes care of the aforementioned instruments - and also sings a bit - while JP Mönkkönen (bass) and Tero Mikkonen (drums) lay the foundations for Lefty's guitar circus.
It's hard to describe the band's style: blues, western swing, jazz, progressive rock, musical landscape painting... Steel'n'twang whatever be the thang!

Southpaw Steel’n’Twang has been invited to St. Louis in september 2015. SST will perform at the International Steel Guitar Convention (ISGC) as the first Finnish band ever. ISGC is held this year 44th time in St. Loius Missouri, USA.
Southpaw Steel’n’Twang received outstanding reviews with their 2014 debut album “Hale’s Pleasure Railway “. All original compositions by Ville Leppänen. Most of their next record will be recorded in “Firebrand Recording” studio in St. Louis.
New record will be released at a gig “Greetings from St. Louis!” in Helsinki, Finland 26th of november 2015.
