Habib Khan is a talented artist of Langa music with an melodious voice. The thirty eight years old singer masters the traditional music repertoire of Langas and Sufi music. His music journey started with hearing stories of his father who was an acclaimed bard and musician, which is also the source of his interest in local ballads as he is known to perform it for his patrons. His guru is the renowned Manganiyar musician and Sarangi player Lakhe Khan who has influenced his music skills immensely and he met him through the well-known folklorist Komal Kothari. Habib has been on a world tour with popular music composer duo Salim Sulaiman and has performed at various national and international festivals and events like Kala Ghoda Festival in Mumbai, Camel Festival in Rajasthan, West Zone Cultural Centre (WZCC) etc. The other band members are also young talented artists. The group presents traditional folk music of western Rajasthan and Sufi music with the accompaniment of traditional folk instruments like Sindhi Sarangi, Dholak and Kahartal.
