Rhythm of Sheo: The group ‘Rhythm of Sheo’ led by Bhungar Khan Manganiyar is an all-percussion band from Sheo tehsil of Barmer district, Rajasthan. Sheo is famous for Manganiyar music and percussion instrument like Khartal (Wood Percussion), Morchang (Jewish Harp), Bhapang, Dholak. Unique in sound these instruments create a different soundscape when played together. Bhungar Khan and Dilawar Khan are masters in Khartal playing. Bhungar Khan is a Sangeet Natak awardee. The other members, Latif Khan and Dayam Khan play multiple percussion instruments like Morchang, and Bhapang among others. Another member and one of the most famous Dholak players of Rajasthan is Manjoor Khan. All the members of this group are very skilled musicians and have showcased their art in different national and international music festivals across the world.
