Sadhu and Kangal are the 2 sons of the legendary Baul musician, Tarak Khyapa. They hail from the recognised village of Baul musicians called Jaydeb in the district of Birbhum, West Bengal. Tarak's untimely demise in 2017 has left a huge responsibility on the 2 sons of carrying on the strong legacy but both of them are doing fabulous justice to it. They are masters of playing the various folk instruments such as the Dotara, Khamak, Harmonium, Ektara, Dugi, Tabla, Khol, etc. They have performed at various important centres across India such as Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune, Goa and Delhi, the highlight being the performances at the Sur Jahan World Peace Music Festival held annually at Kolkata and Goa. Their music has also been highly appreciated at international music festivals in Sweden (Urkult), UK and Hungary.
