Morteza Godarzi, dotar player and maghami singer, is one of the youngest musicians keeping the tradition of music making in North Khorassan alive; maestro Haj Ghorban Soleimani has given him his licence and consent in his youth and he has been presented by numerous awards from different music festivals for his artistic talent. His mature and lilting voice is pleasantly accompanied by his dotar in this collection. The successful handling of Persian poetry instead of using his own dialect only confirms his deep understanding of maghami music.
