Drummer, composer, arranger

Fábio Bergamini is a musician who has always sought new sounds, unconventional instruments, musical manifestations and innovative artistic expressions. Bachelor and Master in Music from Unicamp, he completed his studies in the United States (Berklee and Calarts). He studied ethnomusicology at the 'Nova de Lisboa' University in Portugal, where he was a member of the Madredeus Group for two years. He was a professor in the undergraduate music courses at Unimep in Piracicaba, at Unisant'Anna in São Paulo and a guest professor at the postgraduate course in “Creative Processes” at Faculdade Souza Lima, in addition to schools and social projects such as “Bate Lata, from the foundation Orsa, Projeto Guri, EMT- Campinas, Colégio Notre Dame and Escola de Música de Cascais in Portugal. He worked for two years on the project “Brincadeiras Musicales da Palavra Cantada” and is the author of the Guri Project's drum and percussion textbooks. He is currently the pedagogical coordinator of Editora Anacruse and has played as a guest musician at the symphony orchestras of Campinas (OSMC) and Unicamp (OSU). In 2016 he was invited to be a professor at Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music in Chennai-India. He is currently a professor at St Nicholas School, Instituto Vera Cruz, IBFE and a postgraduate course in Popular Music at Faculdade Souza Lima. With an authorial repertoire that brings together unusual and creative compositions, ranging from more meditative and introspective songs, to virtuous moments of improvisational ecstasy that refer to ancestral soundtracks or soundscapes that interconnect cultures and peoples, he releases his first album in 2022.
