Bretagne(s) World Sounds

Bretagne(s) World Sounds is a federation of actors in Brittany's world music scene inspired by cross fertilization of styles and sounds while relaying the essentials as well as the nuances of traditional and modern Breton music extending to music from cultures around the world.
Created in 2010, born of the desire of several producers to structure their activities at a regional level, the coalition mutualizes resources and competences with the objective of spotlighting artists based in “Bretagne” on the regional, national and international stage.
BWS champions the creation of contemporary and original expressions of traditional and popular music, relying on three essential axes:
1. Networking, collaborations, exchanges and cooperation
2. Highlighting productions of artistic projects powered by our members to national and international attention.
3. Promoting music from Brittany and the world through the organisation of events and professional gatherings such as the festival NoBorder held in Brest in December.
