Manchester Music City, the host partner for WOMEX 24, is a network of people and organisations working together to support and amplify Manchester’s music scene, locally and worldwide.

Brighter Sound is a music development charity based in Manchester, and the sector lead for Manchester Music City. Brighter Sound’s programme includes artistic residencies, commissions, workshops, professional development, peer-led support networks and live events, with a focus on breaking down barriers to access and creating a more equitable, diverse and inclusive music world.
