The atmospheric fantasy metal project Aegonia combines music and literature in a unique way for the Bulgarian musical scene. For 10 years the founders of the project Elitsa Stoyanova and Nikolay Nikolov have been telling tales from the lands of Aegonia, which take the audience to ancient times and magical lands.
Elitsa Stoyanova with writer's name Nea Stand is author of two novels of the series "Tales From the Lands of Aegonia", tightly connected to Aegonia's music. Their first album "The forgotten song" is conceptual, completing the first novel of the same name, and the forthcoming second album is a musical continuation of the novels.
Another musical line of the project is the original folklore music with videos telling fairytale stories with motives from the Bulgarian national legends and stories - "The Maid and the Mountain" and "Samodiva".
