"Another World"
Another World is Mariya & Boyan’s first music album. It is a fusion between the magic of Bulgarian folklore music and its typical new polyphonic harmonies, mixed with modern-sounding arrangements which take you on a journey away from everyday life troubles. What is interesting in this album is that it’s a whole story told by the songs themselves. It is a tale about moral values that have been long forgotten, but were an integral part of people’s lives in the past.
All the lyrics, music, and vocals are written by Mariya as she relied on the traditional Bulgarian music sounds. Boyan is the music producer behind all the instrumental parts of the songs. Through the videos of the songs ("Drug Svyat/Another World" and "Molitva/A Prayer", one being shot in the Pirin and the other in Strandzha mountains) the story is told visually, as well as they take the viewer on a journey throughout Bulgaria’s most beautiful places.
The message behind the album is probably its most integral part: If you want to create a family it has to be with the right person and you have to be fully convinced you found the one before you take her/him. That happens with the help of God and having faith. That is really important because you only have one try and if you succeed you will experience what true love means.
