In "JazzArk" project, pianist and composer Baki Duyarlar combines modern jazz tones with old Turkish forms and makams he pulled from the chest of his family of seven-generation musicians. In this fusion project, Baki Duyarlar updates music of old civilizations with today’s approaches.

Consisting of acoustic piano, double bass and Turkish percussion instruments, this unusual trio aims at melting Turkish classical music serenity with the ampleness of European music and the enthusiasm of Mediterranean warmth in the same pot.

In JazzArk Project’s debut album, released in 2020, Baki Duyarlar was accompanied by Mehmet Akatay, Kristian Lind and Antonio Serrano, one of the most important harmonica players of our time, who played with Paco de Lucia for many years.
