The voice of La Marimba is an affirmation of independence, emancipation and feminine power. The güira, a Dominican percussion instrument that Marimba plays with force and precision, sounds like the rough and powerful fury of a Caribbean woman taking back her place.
In 2018, she released her first single "Agua que llegó” which became one of the 50 most viral in the Dominican Republic on Spotify for two consecutive weeks. In 2019 and 2020 she is nominated in the "alternative music" category at the Soberano Awards. In 2019, she released her first EP entitled "Seré" with which she claims her space and reinforces her unique musical proposal. In the following years she releases several singles including "Sueltame" which is reviewed in the New York Times and Rolling Stone.
In 2022 she is chosen by COLDPLAY to open her concert at the Olympic Stadium (the largest stadium in the Dominican Republic) in march 22 as part of her Music Of The Sphere.
