Have fun, will travel. Power duo Chalanes Del Amor whisk their audiences away on an all-singing, all-dancing, multi-instrumental voyage through the Latin American popular repertoire, reshaped through rhythms such as jarocho, montuno, vallenato, cumbia, chilena, huayno and more, all performed on their portable arsenal of instruments including jarana, requinto, marimbula, tres cubano, as well as their zapateado tap-dancing shoes. Chalanes Del Amor are Diego Corvalan, and Mariel Rojo and they have been playing together since 1998, working with leading Son Jarocho ensembles and projects in the indigenous Nahuatl language. Since forming the duo in 2007 they have performed on stages across South America and Europe, as well as taking part in educational and therapeutic projects on their travels, putting their positive energy and abundant musical skills to maximum use.
