The Kuelgue was formed in Buenos Aires, in the heart of the Villa Crespo neighborhood during the year 2004. Their particular live concerts, where they display their mark linked to the absurd and improvisation, and their original staging, are the hallmark of this group led by the multifaceted Julián Kartun. This sum of factors determined El Kuelgue as a different proposal within the Argentine and Latin American music scene. The musical versatility and the band's combination of multiple styles has captured a generation that no longer chooses music by its genre.
For more than 15 years the band has been performing in the most important venues and festivals in Argentina, Latin America and Europe. In 2016 the band was chosen to open Paul McCartney's two shows at the Estadio Único de la Plata. He has sold out his first Luna Park stadium in Buenos Aires, and is preparing for the Movistar Arena stadium in front of 15,000 people.
