The Collectif à l'Envers was created in 2012 by Erwan Keravec and Ronan Le Gouriérec, two accomplice musicians and playing partners. By creating a shared space where the pooling of experiences promotes the artistic development of each, in a reverse mode (à l’envers) to the current trend, they seek to collectively defend their singular words. The collective now brings 4 artists: Ronan Le Gourierec, Gweltaz Hervé, Philippe Chasseloup and Sébastien Bouclé together, and regularly invites musician friends, writers, poets, dancers ...
The Collectif à l'Envers is situated in the aesthetics of New Traditional Music by including "new practices of traditional music" or "new forms resulting from the practices of traditional music". They engage in the work of creation without taking the traditional repertoire as a necessary basis.
The objective of the Collectif à l'Envers is the production and distribution of live shows, the production of music media, the creation of visual art, the organization of events, support for artistic projects, the setting up of educational workshops, etc.
