Gong Linna is an amazing young singer from Guizhou in southern China.
Trained as a classical vocalist, she performed with the Chinese National
Traditional Orchestra. Her meeting with the composer Lao Luo has been a most fortunate one; together they have created a new kind of music which is beyond all boundaries,a new yet authentic Chinese musical identity, rooted in century old traditions but at the same time profoundly contemporary. In fact, her voice can interpret all his whims and moods drawing upon different traditions, from the Far East to the West, and displaying an amazing range of notes, high up to Oriental treble. This richness is its spellbinding quality.
