The musician and artist Manu Maltez created the group Cardume in 2001, with whom released his first album, “As Neves do Kilimanjaro” in 2006. In 2009, the group released their second album, “Esse Cavalo Morto no Jardim”. On this album, MANU MALTEZ and the GROUP CARDUME deepen further the language that fuses music, poetry and art, giving new impetus to this dialogue. With elements of Brazilian popular music, modern jazz ,pop and rock, classical music of the twentieth century and contemporary literature, the group makes of rough timbre, free improvisation, great inventiveness of forms and corrosive lyricism their remarkable features. The result is a lively and disquieting music, a legitimate child of the largest metropolis in South America.
