Line up

  • Baye Cheikh MBAYE (Sabar)
  • David CLAVEL (Guitar)
  • Prince DIABATÉ (Kora)

Baye Cheikh Mbaye draws from Senegalese tradition with Sabar and Baye Fall mystical processions.
Prince Diabaté is a Guinean Kora player who received numerous prizes and developed his career, mainly in the United States, since the 90’.
David Clavel, guitarist from Toulouse, is to be found in various world music projects, inspired by the roots of Blues.

Together, they play a free and energetic music, highly malleable but at the same time deeply rooted in African tradition’s common foundation, and its diasporas’.
Griot vocals and Prince’s Kora are supported by a dynamic percussion line, from djembé to cajon, and a subtle but essential guitar line.
After a first explosive encounter in 2017, the three of them are well decided to bring their sparks to a huge fire of joy, warming and taking us into a welcoming trance, far from our 21st century ordered cities.
