Debora Gurgel is a pianist, composer, arranger and educator. She writes for the Orquestra Jazz Sinfônica (Symphonic Jazz Orchestra - São Paulo), the Orquestra Jovem Tom Jobim (Tom Jobim Youth Orchestra – São Paulo), the Lilian Carmona Big Band and the Septeto S/A group. Besides improvisation and composition to all instrumentalists, Debora also teaches piano to private students in São Paulo.
Her compositions are extremely sophisticated, with jazz harmonies and classical influences merged with brazilian rhythms.
