• The latin group “La Cucaracha” consists of 6 musicians and began performing in Greece in 2006 succeeding in making a difference since the very beginning, as it’s made of professional artists with long experience, who are undoubtedly considered to be the best latin musicians in Greece. They were founding members of the biggest and most important salsa orchestra in Greece, “Latin All Stars”, with which they have played alongside big names of the latin musical scene such as: Herman Olivera, Frankie Vasquez, Ray de la Paz, Frankie Morales, Alfredo de la Fe, Jimmy Bosch, Larry Harlow and others, in their concerts in Greece. At the same time the “Cucaracha” have participated in records of Greek and foreign artists (Alkistis Protopsalti, Zoe Tiganouria, Janet Kapuya, Latin All Stars).
• The band consists mostly of Cuban musicians and they present either songs from different Latin American countries arranged by the musical director of the band Yoel Soto (musical director of Latin All Stars orchestra for 2 years) or his own compositions. Yoel Soto is also the band’s bass player, but also a composer and songwriter – he was already recorded his personal latin jazz album, called Waking Up- as well as producer of other artists’ records. The singers of the group “La Cucaracha” are Yami “La Guajira” Martinez, one of the most explosive singers of the young artistic Cuban generation and Ramon Soto, who had been a singer of the “Arsenio Rodriguez” orchestra for many years and who is considered a characteristic voice of the legendary Cuban kind of music, the famous “son”.
