Nominated for the Latin Grammy Awards in 2020 for best album by Cumbia/Vallenato, Los Cumbia Stars is a group that performs Colombian tropical music and is a new band in the tropical genre.
Signed by the legendary record label Discos Fuentes. The group is made up of the singer Cristina Escamilla, one of the most important voices of the genre in the country and seven musicians of wide trajectory and recognized musical quality, among them the director, composer, guitarist and accordionist Juan Pablo Acosta. His repertoire is 100% danceable and merges unreleased songs from the group of his three record productions, with original arrangements by the great masters of tropical music Colombian as Lucho Bermúdez, Rodolfo Aicardi, Los Corraleros de Majagual, Joe Arroyo, Fruko y sus Tesos, among others.
