Spyros Kontos is a basic member of the Symphony Orchestra of ERT, teaches in the Music Department of the Ionian University and has a special interest in contemporary Greek music. The pianist Lito Thomou teaches at Nakas Conservatory and has rich concert experience not only as a soloist but also in chamber music ensembles. The collaboration of the two musicians began in 2006.
Metamorphosis represents a new repertoire for Oboe ; charming and imaginative works of eight contemporary Greek composers. The oboist Spyros Kontos signs the production of his first solo album and the pianist Lito Thomou is working with him in the first performances. The luxurious booklet version (English speaking) was created by Michael Hadjiharalambous (Artemis 1932), and was entirely produced in Dna Lab in Athens.
