Dubblestandart = The high energy dub reggae band from Vienna
Dubblestandart operates since the early 90’s, producing their distinct Dub style. Their critically acclaimed Return From Planet Dub album with Grammy winning Lee Perry, legendary filmmaker David Lynch & Ari Up from the Slits marked a peak in their career. They collaborated with internationally known artists Marica Griffiths, Carol Wheeler (Soul2Soul), Ken Boothe, Dillinger, Mad Professor, Dennis Bovell, Adrian Sherwood, William Burroughs and countless others. They played Summer Stage concert NYC Central Park 2009, Moscow-Russia 2017, Goa-India 2013, toured Canada 2003 & 08.
Paul Zasky played bass for Lee Perry on all his US Live dates 2009 – 2017 as part of Subatomic Sound System, including 2 Coachella appearances 2013.
We believe, wherever u have seen Dubblestandart perform live, u had an exceptional experience seeing an unusual band in challenging times. A generation X band of the early nineties, Dubblestandart’s name itself, seems like a symbolic metaphor for the end of the analog days and the dawn of the digital age.
