In 2017 Cosenude Media Projects asked Duo Bottasso to compose the soundtrack of the documentary "Biserta: Storia a Spirale”. The sweetness of Bizerte, the contradictions and violence of contemporary Tunisia, the stories of a writer, a revolutionary, a boxeur and a videomaker became the inspiration for the album "Biserta e altre Storie".
They bring this music live with the most advanced live electronics of composer and performer Simone Sims Longo and the enchanting sound of Reza Mirjalali's Iranian tar, who both joined Duo Bottasso and Cosenude in the composing process. The common wish to escape their comfort zone and sharing the techniques they achieved in previous works leads to an organic mix of vocal samples, improvisation, exploration of timbres of acoustic instruments, extended techniques, non-western influences and field recordings.
