Darla Smoking is a new musical project formed by two experienced Slovenian musicians – Brgs, the drummer, is a master of rhythms while music producer Nac controls the electronics, samples and smokey soundscapes. Brewing inside of this dub-based entity are elements of history and modernity, while at the same time Darla embodies a thousand distinctive voices from all over the globe. Travel through the music to the bloody river banks of the Mississippi or colourful Bollywood scenes, explore dark hidden corners of the Orient or observe African tribes dancing and shouting their war cries. The “Big Bug” album paints a broad spectrum of colours and moods – sometimes brooding and dark, sometimes lustrous and dance-oriented, immerse yourself in this fusion of dub, electronica, psychedelic and world music.
