Echoes In The Valley Music Festival (EITV) is an annual music festival that takes place in Kathmandu and its surroundings. The festival strives to uncover, revive and make relevant Kathmandu’s intangible heritages and disappearing sounds by showcasing local music, art, and performances of everyday rituals. It transforms small neighbourhoods into grand stages for musical conversations between international and local artists; and also converts such spaces into platforms to pass down intergenerational traditional skills. It aims to preserve, promote and witness the changes in diverse traditional performing arts by collaborating communities. In addition, the festival offers an array of interactive educational initiatives, creative workshops, guided neighbourhood walks, and an open museum of communal art and artifacts.
