Ashley Christine Edwards (aka Haiikuu is vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and producer/performer based in Colorado. Nearly a decade of collaboration and touring with various bands and collectives, she debuts haiikuu in 2025, her long awaited solo project.

Haiikkuu weaves soul poetry through the 4th world. ephemeral ambient r&b textures interplay with human vibration in liminal space & Dali daydreams.

This is an experiment of archetypes, channeling raw expression and intuitive feminine wisdom. Vocal layers soar high peaks and inner seas with repeated phrases, seeking balance between feral power, dynamism and precision. Each performance is a ritual, leading to acceptance of the self and the collective in the now moment. The magic of Haiikuu unfolds in the elements of earth in fire, ether and water. Energy moves as melodies become mantras. fertile shadows come to light as they beg us to look in the mirror with more love.

Haiikuu's performance altar is a hybrid of acoustic and electronic instruments, including Nord, Moog, and production elements using various combinations of the Roland MK II and TR8, Teenage Engineering’s KO, TC Helicon Vocal Processor, acoustic guitar, topped by live percussion, Tibetan tinshas, buffalo drums and rattles. Haiikuu travels with vocalists Alexi Ego-Leon Harootunian (Peru) and Jules Marqua (CO) and will flex from a trio to a live band with up to 12 players with the addition of horns, drums, synths, cello, electric guitar, and two bassists.
