Ensemble U: from Estonia is dedicated to playing and promoting new, contemporary and experimental music from composers such as Boulez, Stockhausen, Murail, Donatoni, Sciarrini, Romitelli, Xenakis and Grisey. The ensemble works actively to broaden the concept of musical scores through graphics, videos or texts. They have collaborated on several occasions with renowned conceptual dance theatre artist, Mart Kangro. During this Classical:NEXT showcase, live music will be composed by audience involvement as part of the Audience Orchestra project. This will be an interactive format, so please make sure you bring your laptop, iPad or smart-phone with up-to-date web browser! More information will be available on the evening of the performance.
