Composer, singer, musician and maker of traditional musical instruments, Zouratié Koné belongs to the Bwa ethnic group, native to central Burkina Faso and South-East Mali, and well-known for its art talents.
Based in Belgium since 2017, Zouratié has been part of several projects, diving in genres spanning from Afro Jazz to typical Mandingo music.
Since 2017, he's the leader and composer of the Zouratié Koné Ensemble, an Afro Jazz Mandingo group where African sounds meet the jazz tradition.
His compositions are inspired by traditional African rhythms and harmonies, adapted to all instruments involved in the project, with a particular attention given to the groove and harmonization.
The result is a free-spirit music full of communicative and joyful energy, a true successful transcontinental fusion led by Zouratié's charismatic presence on stage.
