Emap.FM was founded in 2002 by Emil H. Lubej at the Institute for Musicology at the University of Vienna as a non-commercial and independent internet radio for worldwide ethno music and reports.
Emap.FM streams live CDs from the ethnic and world music scene around the clock.
Emap.FM records concerts from venues and festivals mainly in Vienna, such as the Accordion & Klezmore Festival, Kasumama, Salam.Orient & the former Balkan Fever.
More then 5000 concerts and radio broadcasts on Africa, the Balkans, Madagascar, Oceania, the Orient etc. are stored in the on-demand archive.
Emap.FM is compatible with all devices. The streaming format is MP4 AAC+. The live stream and the on-demand archive can be listened to free of charge.
