DIOGO PICÃO PRESENTS HIS SECOND ALBUM PALAVRAS CARAS

Colorful, cheerful, serious, deep, fun. These could be some of the words that describe the new work of the singer-songwriter Diogo Picão: “Palavras Caras”

Esteemed words, big words, words of the twenty musicians who recorded this album under the influence of cosmopolitan Lisbon.

“Palavras Caras” features ten songs that travel through the various ports of the Atlantic, mixing Samba, Jazz, Son Cubano, and others.

It also features the remarkable voices of Salvador Sobral, Mônica Salmaso and Luca Argel.

Affectionate, reflective, fun, incisive, it is a work with words extracted from the author’s own experiences and memories as well as words borrowed from authors he admires, such as Portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa and Brazilian poet Paulo Leminski.

After his debut album, “Cidade Saloia” (2018), Diogo Picão now presents “Palavras Caras”, an album that is easy to listen to, but with rich instrumental lines and wonderful voices.
“Palavras Caras” is available on digital platforms from the 30th of September.
