Tropical Transform Quintet is one of the most unique and inventive jazz
bands from Hungary. Most of their compositions bear the marks of
classical-romanticism played with explosive power. Their music gives plenty of space for exploration in the realms of crossover-jazz, Latin and
Hungarian folk music, yet remains within the field of contemporary jazz.
You can always recognize musical telepathy among these five people, improvising with lyricism, passion, and virtuosity. In the years of developing their own sound they have blended various roots of modern jazz while their genuine style is based on sophisticated taste, and played with special talent and joy. Members of the band have played together with artists such as Joey Calderazzo, the Vasil Hadzimanov Band, the Tarantinos and Tino Gonzales.
Among others, the band has shared stages with artists such as Archie Shepp,
Incognito and Level 42.
