“Martina is today the Colombian artist with the greatest international projection”
by Fernán Martínez (former manager of Julio Iglesias, Enrique Iglesias, and Juanes)

“Fusing rock and folk music is not new. But Martina certainly does it in a very innovative way. She has a great presence onstage and a very original voice”
by Leila Cobo (Executive Director, Latin Content & Programming at Billboard)

A new talent has emerged from El Carito, a small town in Colombia's Córdoba Department.

Martina is today the artist everyone talks about in Colombia's music industry. On her short yet fruitful career, ignited by a remarkable fusion of champeta, bullerengue, and other Caribbean genres with pop and rock music, Martina proved to be one of the most interesting and appealing artists of her generation.

Martina became the lead singer of the house band at Gaira Club, one of the most popular and widely known music entertainment venues in Colombia, owned by Carlos Vives and his family. By fronting the Gaira house band for five years, she started to shape a signature style as a singer.

Today, the sound of her band, Martina & La Peligrosa, is just unique. The original compositions and explosive arrangements are simply stunning. And her presence and charisma onstage immediately draw attention.

Her widely awaited debut studio album, featuring Colombian noted producer and arranger Jairo Barón (Fonseca, Adriana Lucia), is scheduled to be released in 2015.

Likewise, her presence and reputation online continues to grow thanks to her loyal and constantly increasing fan base online. Martina is also the creator of the Ponte Linda blog.
