LBKhaled & Oriental Mood present the new CD release
”Manzar Gamil”

The story of ”Manzara Gamil” (beautiful view)

The band Oriental Mood have existed since 1991, and i am the last survivor from a long and exiting travel through music and experiences from Greenland to Borneo and the Middle East.
From 1992 we started with the splended CD ”Travels” and since then had 3 different lineups with 7 releases ;
Travels(93)-Moods(96)-Oriental Garden (98)
Best of Oriental Mood (98) – Visits (2001) –
Oriental Cut (2004) – Muktalef (2007).
The musicians through this time who have participated in the long travel of Oriental Mood – untill now – I think about and want to make my humble thanks to :
Yasar Tas, Hassan Khalil, Hadji Tekbilek, Claus Mathisen, Frank Juul, Marco Spallanzani, Niels Lichtenberg, Naze,
Asmah Mnour, Rolf V Petersen, Jan Andersen, Anders Banke, Henrik Andersen, Zaki Youssef, Gustav Rey, Jesper Jordan, Jesper Løvdal, Johnny Kalsi, Niels Raae, Tine Vitkov, Rasmus Glendorf, Simon Dyhr, Bilal Irshed and Fatma Zidan.

Now - 20 years later, Oriental Mood still continues the work, and proud to present the first production made by the last survivor; Lars Bo Khaled Kujahn Petersen.

This production is made in a time before and after the ”Arabian Spring”. Thats why it might have taken longer time to produce than normal…

Its been an outstanding pleausure to work with some of the greatest musicians in Egypt ; Mustafa Abdl Naby ; Violin – Reda Abdeer ; Ney - Taha Taha ; Cello and Mudassar Wafa ; Oud– made my compositions alive in a very special and delighted way.
Ehab Nabil – the great sound engineer (known from the studio”AMAR”), an Icon of Egyptian sound – when its best.
I thank him for his effort and great work in this album.
Louise Nipper from Soundscape in Copenhagen I give my thanks for great recordings in Denmark. 1001 thanks to my beloved wife Fatma Zidan for her great ears and critics.
